Delete it in the app
You can delete your Sabha account yourself, at any time, from the Android or iPhone app, or the website.
- Open Sabha and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the menu.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and tap Continue. We send a 6-digit code by SMS to your phone.
- Enter the code and tap Delete account. You are signed out at once.
This cannot be undone. If you sign in again later with the same number, you start
a new account and need approval again.
What is deleted
- Your name, phone number, profile photo, district, constituency, mandal, village, designation, title and "about" text.
- Every photo, video and file you sent, from our server.
- Your membership of all groups and your stage permissions.
- All your sign-ins, on every device.
- The notification tokens of your devices, so they stop getting Sabha notifications.
What is kept
- Messages you sent stay in the chats they were sent to, shown as from "Deleted member". They are no longer linked to your name or number.
- Call records, Sabha attendance and poll answers stay as anonymous counts for party records.
- Sabhas you scheduled (admins only) stay on the calendar, shown as hosted by "Deleted member", so other admins can still run them.
- One entry in the admin audit log that an account was deleted, with no personal details.
- Backups are overwritten within [Backup retention, e.g. 30 days].
Can't open the app?
If you lost your phone or number, email [Contact email] with the subject "Delete my Sabha account" and the phone number you registered with. We check the request comes from you and delete the account within [Response time, e.g. 7 days].
Super admins
The last super admin cannot delete their account, because nobody would be left to appoint admins. Ask [Contact email] to add another super admin first.
